Sons of Norway Response to Tragedy in Oslo

Sons of Norway was shocked to learn of this morning’s bombing in Oslo. As an international fraternal benefit society, our members, leaders and staff all have many loved ones in Norway, so this news comes with an even heavier sense of sadness.

Our collective thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been affected by this tragedy as well as their families and friends.

I would dare say, as an American, that this tragic attack has happened to possibly the least deserving people in the world. I hope they bounce back without losing any of the trusting virtues that make them a rock and foundation in the global peace agenda.

I agree, the Norwegians are a gentle, peaceful and tolerant people and they certainly didn't deserve the horror they suffered today.

My family and friends are in Norway and we will be working there for two months. I am looking forward to being on the land and standing with my 'tribe' as they learn to maneuver these uncharted waters.
